FAQs
Here are some questions our clients often ask. If you have a question that isn’t addressed here, please contact us.
Why hire an event planner instead of doing this ourselves?
Professional event planners can save you time, anxiety, and even money. A skilled planner will work with you to create an event that not only addresses your goals and exceeds expectations, but also fits your budget.
Because of their depth of planning experience, good event planners work efficiently and effectively. Planners also add value by bringing new ideas and their network of quality vendors to the table. Having your planner on-site for the event means you can focus on hosting your guests, rather than worrying about logistics and behind-the-scenes details.
Clients come to Ann Plans for fresh ideas, more effective ways of delivering events, and because their in-house resources for planning are limited. Ann Plans is all about helping clients succeed through the events they host – without the burden of doing it all themselves. Through our professional and fun approach to event planning, we replace stress and panic with peace of mind.
What kinds of events do you plan?
We focus our services on the needs of businesses and nonprofit organizations. Ann Plans helps clients succeed by creating events and meetings that achieve goals of celebrating, appreciating, cultivating, educating, and even raising money.
The types of events in Ann Plans’ portfolio include festivals and community celebrations, meetings and conferences, client appreciation events, team building events, holiday parties, new business launch events, awards ceremonies, and fundraising galas. Our typical event is targeted for at least 100 guests, and we have the experience and resources to plan for several thousand attendees.
Do you plan weddings?
We leave the wedding planning to the professional wedding planners. If you or someone you know has a wedding on the horizon, Ann Plans would be happy to contribute to your special day by making a referral to one of the outstanding wedding planners in our network.
How far out should we start planning?
Whenever possible, our advice is this - start early! Depending on when your event will take place and the type of venue that will best meet your needs, planning should start at least three months out. Planning for large events, festivals, and conferences should begin one to two years out.
Keep in mind that we want to allow plenty of time to formulate a great plan, hire preferred vendors, and extend invitations to everyone on your guest list in a timely manner. All that said, Ann Plans has been successful in pulling together some great events on very tight timelines.
What is Ann Plans' role, and what do we do ourselves?
Flexibility is one of the things our clients most appreciate about Ann Plans. Our ultimate goal is to structure our services in ways that best meets your needs. Most clients hire us to keep our pulse on the whole planning process, from the concept development straight through to the execution of the event and post-event evaluation and wrap-up.
We work as a team with your organization, keeping you fully in the loop on all key planning developments and involving your staff, volunteers, and partners in the ways that are most beneficial in accomplishing your goals. Ann Plans is also available to assist with just one area of an event such as an analysis of an existing event, concept development for a new event, or on-site management.
How much does it cost to hire Ann Plans?
Hiring a professional event planner can be more affordable than you might think. For most Ann Plans projects, we develop an all-inclusive project fee based on the scope of the event and the client’s budget. This approach provides our clients with the greatest value and ensures there are no surprises along the way.
Our clients appreciate that whether their budget is large or small, Ann Plans’ commitment to making their event the best possible is huge. For a free consultation and estimate on your next event, please contact us.
